Job summary

Nebius is building a full‑stack AI cloud platform and seeks a Manager of Forward Deployed Engineering to lead a team at the intersection of architecture and hands‑on engineering. You will set the technical bar, grow your team, and ensure production‑quality integrations and reference architectures.

You will stay engaged technically while guiding partner engagements, defining platform requirements, and representing Nebius at events. This role offers remote work within the United States.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on engineering in AI, ML, or AI infrastructure.
• 2+ years leading or managing a team of engineers.
• Deep working knowledge of the AI developer stack—LLM APIs, inference runtimes, orchestration frameworks, vector databases, and RAG architectures.
• Hands-on experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent.
• Strong Python programming skills and comfort prototyping end‑to‑end AI systems quickly.
• Experience defining reference architectures and technical patterns, not just implementing them.
• Proven ability to move from idea to working prototype under time pressure.
• Experience building integrations across APIs and developer platforms.
• Comfort working with external partner teams and Nebius Product/Engineering teams.
• Strong technical communication to both CTOs and non-technical leads.
• Nice-to-have: experience with inference frameworks (vLLM, SGLang), NVIDIA stack, multimodal models, and open source projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead Forward Deployed Engineers across ecosystem areas (agentic, inference, infrastructure, data).
• Set expectations for technical quality and partner engagement; coach engineers.
• Run structured 1:1s and support team growth.
• Represent Nebius in hackathons, open source communities, and technical events.
• Review and elevate architectures, reference patterns, and partner scoping.
• Stay current with AI tooling to guide technical judgment.
• Translate field observations into actionable product requirements for Nebius platform teams.
• Collaborate with ISV/SI and field teams to scale solution adoption.
