Coinbase, Inc. is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Blockchain Platform team.

You will define the technical vision for infrastructure connecting Coinbase products to the crypto economy, leading nodes, indexers, wallets, and orchestration systems across 60+ networks. You will drive multi-quarter strategy, design high-availability systems, and guide cross-team initiatives to improve efficiency, latency, and security at global scale.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience at staff-plus level.
• Hands-on experience with blockchain protocols at node/protocol level.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive multi-quarter technical strategy for Blockchain Platform.
• Architect and evolve core platform infrastructure (nodes, indexers, wallets) for global scale.
• Lead end-to-end design and rollout of large cross-team architectural initiatives.
• Drive engineering standards for correctness, security, reliability and observability.
• Own data-driven reliability improvements using observability signals.
• Represent Blockchain Platform in executive and cross-org forums and secure buy-in.
