Affirm’s Streaming team builds data infrastructure powering event-driven architecture, stream processing, and data discovery. We design and scale backend systems using Python or Kotlin, AWS, Kafka, Flink, and Kubernetes, collaborating across product, design, and analytics to bring data-driven features to life.

This role focuses on breaking projects into tasks, delivering in phases, maintaining reliability, and contributing to on-call efforts, with remote-first culture and competitive base pay.

Qualifications

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.

Responsibilities

• Break down larger projects into tasks, deliver in phases, and collaborate for timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product management, design and analytics to ideate and balance risks.
• Support operations by creating and monitoring metrics and contributing to on-call efforts.
• Engage in growth activities and participate in interview processes to strengthen the team.
