Job summary

Cayuse, a remote-first technology company empowering research organizations, seeks an AI/ML engineer to design and implement AI features across Cayuse products, using LLMs like Claude and shared engineering standards.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, participate in code reviews and design discussions, ship code through CI/CD pipelines to AWS, and build robust monitoring and logging to ensure reliable production AI services while upholding responsible AI and data-security practices

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and MCP servers using LLMs like Claude with mentorship from senior engineers.
• Integrate AI features into Cayuse products via platform APIs and shared engineering standards.
• Write unit and integration tests, and build evaluation sets to measure LLM accuracy and reliability.
• Ship code through CI/CD pipelines to AWS, add logging and monitoring for production AI services.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies in a remote-first environment.
• Follow responsible AI and security standards, and raise concerns about risks like prompt injection or unauthorized data access.
