Job summary

Diamondback Fire Protection LLC is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our growing team. This remote role offers occasional travel to meet project needs and requires 3+ years of fire protection design experience with NICET Level 2 preferred.

Design systems using AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, and Revit, perform NFPA-based hydraulic calculations, and coordinate with PMs, engineers, and contractors for accurate submittals.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in fire protection design; NICET Level 2 preferred.
• Proficient with AutoSPRINK, AutoCAD, and Revit.
• Strong communication and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects using design software.
• Perform hydraulic calculations per NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors for timely submittals.
• Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and AHJ documentation for approvals.
• Ensure designs comply with local codes, NFPA standards and client specs.
• Revise/update drawings based on field conditions or inspector feedback.
• Provide technical support during installation.

About the Role

Diamondback Fire Protection LLC is looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our growing team. If you have 3+ years of experience in fire protection design and hold a NICET Level 2 or higher certification (preferred), we want to hear from you. This is a primarily remote role with occasional travel requirements to meet project needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler systems for commercial, residential, and industrial projects using AutoSPRINK or similar design software
• Perform hydraulic calculations in accordance with NFPA 13, NFPA 13R, and NFPA 13D standards
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure accurate and timely drawing submittals
• Prepare shop drawings, as-built drawings, and design documentation for AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) approval
• Ensure all designs comply with local codes, NFPA standards, and client specifications
• Revise and update drawings based on field conditions, change orders, or inspector feedback
• Provide technical support during the installation process
