Job summary

DLB Associates is seeking a Fire Protection & Plumbing Engineer III to work remotely from anywhere in the United States. The role collaborates with senior staff, develops advanced plumbing and fire protection designs for commercial buildings, and leads project elements under supervision.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in mechanical or fire protection engineering, PE preferred, and minimum five years of experience.

• PE certification in related discipline.
• Minimum five years of mechanical or fire protection engineering experience.
• Experience with design for commercial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Produce fire protection and plumbing engineering documents.
• Perform design tasks under supervision.
• Compute plumbing system hydraulics.
• Use AutoCAD and Revit for drawings.
• Review sequences of operations and shop drawings.
• Coordinate with project management and clients.
• Prepare project progress reports and logs.
