Legal.io is seeking a seasoned Commercial Counsel (Contract) to support a leading fintech company in the United States. This remote, two-month engagement targets mid-to-senior attorneys with deep expertise in financial technology and commercial transactions.

Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating varied agreements, advising stakeholders on regulatory matters, and mitigating risks across new initiatives and product offerings. Prior in-house experience is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 7+ years of commercial contracting experience.
• Strong background in fintech, payments, consumer finance, or regulated financial services.
• Experience negotiating complex commercial agreements in fast-paced environments.
• Deep familiarity with fintech products and regulatory frameworks.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management with autonomous work style.

Aufgaben

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide array of commercial agreements including vendor, customer, partnership, service and NDA contracts.
• Provide daily legal counsel and guidance to business stakeholders on operational, contractual and regulatory issues.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal and commercial risks for new initiatives and products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable strategic business objectives and transactions.
• Advise on evolving regulatory requirements within consumer finance and payments.
