Job summary

Koniag Data Solutions, LLC (KDS), a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a FinOps Specialist to manage cloud-financial operations for ACF and our government customer. This remote role requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust.

The ideal candidate will analyze cloud spend across AWS/Azure/GCP, build chargeback/showback models, and deliver biweekly dashboards for leadership and program stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and governance mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, CS, IS, Business, or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud financial management, FinOps, IT finance, or related discipline.
• Experience with cloud-cost-management tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing, CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability).
• Experience developing and managing chargeback/showback models in a multi-team/enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing cloud-cost analysis across AWS, Azure, and GCP to identify spending trends and risks.
• Develop and maintain chargeback/showback models for cost allocation to business units and programs.
• Build and deliver biweekly dashboards and reports on cloud-spend, budgets, forecasting, and variances.
• Monitor budgets and forecast spend; provide variance analyses to leadership and finance stakeholders.
• Collaborate with engineering, cloud architecture, and DevOps to implement cost-saving recommendations.
• Support cloud cost-governance policies, tagging standards, allocation rules, and budget controls.
• Work with procurement to evaluate cloud pricing agreements and discount programs.
• Assist project budgets by identifying cost pressures and coordinating corrective actions.
