Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to lead a fully remote finance function for a rapidly growing international financial services company. The role emphasizes IFRS reporting, budgeting, and strong internal controls, with global collaboration.

You will oversee accounting operations, drive financial strategy, and mentor the finance team while ensuring compliance and accurate financial planning in a remote setting.

Formación

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or equivalent international qualification.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in financial management, accounting, and controllership.
• Proven experience in managing financial operations and leading finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS or other relevant accounting standards.
• Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent understanding of internal controls and financial risk management.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and compliance.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS or relevant accounting standards.
• Develop and manage the company's budget and financial forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with all local and international financial regulations and tax laws.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
• Manage cash flow and treasury functions.
• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
