Job summary

Locked In Talent is partnering with a well-established regional accounting firm in Orange County, California, to recruit an experienced Controller who will lead accounting and financial operations. This role works closely with executive leadership on strategy, efficiency, and growth.

The Controller will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, internal controls, and partner compensation, while driving profitability and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years of leadership in accounting/finance.
• Strong skills in reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
• Prepare and present monthly statements and management reports.
• Monitor profitability, utilization, realization, and revenue per employee.
• Analyze results and provide actionable recommendations to executives.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting, closing processes, and controls.
• Coordinate audit and tax activities with external providers.
• Support compensation modeling and profitability initiatives.
• Lead and develop the accounting/finance team.
