Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Financial Analyst to support our National Security Sector. This role is fully remote within the United States, with the Fairfax, VA office available for occasional visits. You will assist in financial reporting, variance analysis, and forecasts for multiple programs.

You’ll collaborate with back-office teams and help with month-end close and subcontracting oversight. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years in Finance, strong Excel skills, and knowledge of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years in Finance or commensurate experience
• Foundational understanding of Government Contracting concepts (CAS, FAR, GAAP)
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas)
• Strong verbal and written communication; self-motivated team contributor
• Familiarity with contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Type)

Responsibilities

• Prepare timely financial reporting and variance analysis for programs
• Support forecasts and annual budgets for large programs
• Analyze key drivers, risks and opportunities
• Prepare data to support program reviews and month-end close
• Monitor subcontracting spending and voucher approvals
• Collaborate with Accounting, Contracts, Procurement and back-office teams
