Advocate Health is seeking a Finance/Accounting internship for May 31, 2027 through August 6, 2027. The remote role is available to residents in NC and other states.

Interns will work up to 40 hours per week, Mon–Fri, gaining exposure to Financial Operations, Budgeting, Reimbursement, and Revenue Cycle activities. Responsibilities include data analysis, Excel automation, and assisting with charge review, budgeting, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment as a junior or senior in a related degree program.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Use Excel to develop automated processes and reduce manual work.
• Review and analyze discrepancies in charges and assist with corrections.
• Prepare financial analyses and extract data for trend calculations and performance measures.
• Assist in developing cost accounting standards and variance analyses.
• Support budgeting processes for operating and capital budgets.
