Job summary

Ashland Inc. is seeking a Finance Project Manager for a remote role. You will oversee multiple projects from initiation to completion, driving improvements in cost, logistics analytics, and forecasting while collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

The role reports to the Continuous Improvement Program Manager and requires 5+ years in project management, accounting, or finance, plus a business or engineering degree. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management, Accounting, or Finance experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a Business or Engineering discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Project Management tools and related disciplines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as a team and/or independently.
• Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times.
• The ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions and creating the new and different.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects from beginning to end with accountability for project execution.
• Lead major projects and identify process issues; propose improvements to senior leaders.
• Communicate clearly with project stakeholders on scope, timeline, and issues.
• Drive follow-up on actions to ensure timely execution of milestones and deadlines.
• Create and maintain project tracking tools to clarify expectations and responsibilities.
• Mentor and coach team members; foster a positive team atmosphere.
• Travel up to 25% to visit and oversee projects on location.
• Contribute to organizational goals by taking initiative, focusing on performance and safety.
• Improve organizational capacity by building relationships and effective communication.
