DC Greens is seeking a Finance Manager to lead core financial responsibilities—bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, reporting, and audit coordination—while promoting transparency and financial accountability. The role supports cross-functional teams and ensures compliance with nonprofit standards in the nation’s capital.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• At least five years’ experience in nonprofit finance.
• Experience with financial reporting for federal grant programs (preferred).
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Pass a background check.

Responsabilidades

• Perform routine daily financial activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, banking reconciliation, monthly reconciliations, and end-of-month reporting
• Complete semi-monthly staff and vendor payroll
• Record all financial transactions into QuickBooks
• Monitor cash flow positions and projections to ensure adequate operational liquidity
• Coordinate the annual audit process and deliver audited financial statements and 990 filing
• Lead GAAP, the IRS, and D.C. Government compliance
• Lead the organization’s participatory budgeting process
• Provide training to staff on completing financial responsibilities
• Create financial reports to support leadership decision-making
• Liaise with insurance agents or government agencies to maintain compliance and policies
• Generate quarterly, annual and ad hoc financial reporting and analysis
• Maintain and update financial policies and procedures manual
