Job summary

Armoire is seeking a Finance Director to own financial operations, reporting, and strategic decision support as a full-time member of the commercial team. Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience in startup or high-growth environments.
• CPA and/or CFA preferred, not required.
• Experience managing lender relationships and financial reporting to banks/investors.
• Proficient in Excel, QuickBooks, Stripe, Gusto, and BI tools like Looker.
• Strong GAAP knowledge with month-end close, revenue deferral, and depreciation.
• Numbers-driven with ability to translate data into clear narratives for leadership.
• Experience mentoring bookkeeping/accounting staff.
• Vendor negotiation and procurement experience is a plus.
• Clear communicator, strong leader, able to balance strategy with execution.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior financial partner to the CCO, CEO, and leadership team.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities; surface tradeoffs for leadership.
• Own profitability growth by partnering with functional leaders on budgets.
• Own monthly close end-to-end and journal entries.
• Prepare and finalize monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow for review.
• Coordinate tax filings with external CPA and ensure GAAP consistency.
• Build and maintain the annual budget by month; manage cash forecasts.
• Monitor cash burn, runway, and liquidity; manage AP prioritization.
• Own margin analysis, inventory valuation, and vendor terms.
• Oversee bookkeeping, AP, payroll; drive internal controls and process docs.
• Manage lender relations and support fundraising as needed.
