Job summary

Scion Staffing is seeking a Director of Finance for a growing, privately held organization. This primarily remote role requires travel ~1 week per month for the first six months and preference for Central or Eastern time zones.

The Director will lead financial operations, strengthen controls and forecasting, and partner with executive leadership to scale the business. A hands-on, entrepreneurial finance leader is ideal.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated senior-level Finance and Accounting leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of FP&A, financial reporting, forecasting, cash management, and accounting operations.
• Experience building and scaling finance teams, systems, and processes.
• Hands-on accounting background with month-end close involvement.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (QuickBooks, NetSuite) and process improvement.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership and communication in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Finance and Accounting operations including month-end close.
• Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes, and forecasting capabilities.
• Develop and assess Finance team; implement scalable systems and workflows.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, and executives to guide business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve tech, automation, and ERP usage.
• Support acquisition integration and repeatable financial processes.
