Job summary

DIRECTV is offering a 10-week remote Finance Summer Internship designed to give students hands-on experience across auditing, data analytics, and financial processes.

You will support the Audit and Finance teams on projects that analyze data, improve dashboards, and strengthen internal controls while learning how finance drives business decisions in a dynamic media company.

Eligibility includes U.S. work authorization and current enrollment in Finance/Accounting/Data Analytics or related fields.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Understanding of key corporate financial measures, information systems and IT basics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Interest in AI tools, process automation, or similar technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support Audit and Finance team members in planning and executing assigned projects.
• Assist with evaluating business processes, information systems, and internal controls.
• Analyze financial, operational, system, or control-related data to identify trends and risks.
• Document procedures, conclusions, and supporting evidence clearly.
• Develop or enhance dashboards, data analytics, or automation solutions.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate progress and issues.
• Handle confidential information in line with security requirements.
