Job summary

Nixon Peabody LLP seeks a seasoned Finance Applications Manager to lead the implementation, support, and optimization of core financial systems such as Aderant and related integrations.

You will partner with CFO and finance teams to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions, drive roadmaps, and ensure reliability, security, and strong user experience across on‑premise and cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive experience with enterprise software services.
• Bachelor degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or equivalent experience
• Experience with legal time & billing platforms and financial systems is required
• Leadership experience in IT governance, delivery and vendor management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management in a law-firm environment

Responsibilities

• Serve as key technical and business liaison to Finance leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate resources and vendors; manage projects with cross-functional teams.
• Lead configuration, upgrades, cloud migrations, and performance optimization of financial applications.
• Own portfolio of enterprise financial applications and lifecycle management.
• Drive user experience improvements and alignment with business objectives.
• Maintain 24x7 availability, backups, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Develop roadmaps for system upgrades and feature adoption.
• Collaborate with non-technical customers to gather requirements and deliver enhancements.
• Oversee security, compliance, and data governance for financial systems.
• Manage audits, change control, and vendor relationships.
