Job summary

Qualifications

• 15+ years of financial systems experience within a law firm environment.
• 10+ years of experience managing and developing teams.
• Proven track record of leading system implementations and cross‑functional technology initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the Financial Systems staff, including contract staff and developers.
• Develop and own the Firm's financial systems strategy and roadmap (Aderant and other apps) and integrations.
• Own the Financial Systems budget and vendor relationships, negotiating contracts for favorable terms.
• Drive emerging technology, identify where new tech reduces manual effort and improves accuracy.
• Oversee security, access controls, data integrity, and governance of financial system data.
• Lead design, development, and support of reporting tools, dashboards, and self‑service analytics.
• Ensure operation, uptime, and reliability of accounting systems; analyze data to resolve issues.
• Manage data feeds, APIs, and integrations with third‑party platforms.
• Lead project management for implementations, upgrades, migrations, testing, and change management.
• Oversee end‑user training and documentation for financial systems.
