Minnesota Management & Budget is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the financial operations of SEGIP and PEIP programs. Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience performing financial reporting, auditing, or accounting analysis for a large organization.
• Experience with GAAP-based financial statements and variance analysis.
• Experience building or maintaining forecasts or models to support decision-making.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and data-analysis software for detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for SEGIP, PEIP, and pretax programs using data from SWIFT, SEMA4, Benefit Billing, plan administrators, and data warehouses.
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting by building projections and explaining variances to management.
• Conduct internal audits of fiscal and operational functions, document findings, and track corrective actions for compliance.
• Develop financial models to assess benefit design impacts, revenue/expenditure trends, and bargaining proposals.
• Complete special projects and ad hoc analyses with actionable recommendations.
