Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an On-Site Repair (OSR) Winder-Apprentice to support repairs of generator stator and field equipment and participate in required training. You will work under the Winding work-leader, use mechanical and electrical tooling, and perform measurements with micrometers and calipers, while maintaining safety and good housekeeping.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with relevant training or experience, willingness to rotate shifts, and the ability to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with relevant training or experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate safely.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and lift up to 50 lb.
• Ability to pass drug test and background check.
• Read and interpret technical instructions and measurements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in taking and recording measurements of stator or field.
• Operate mechanical and electrical tooling; may use sanders.
• Follow winding work-leader directions and perform tool setup.
• Complete daily risk assessments and safety observations.
• Record daily time and maintain a safe, clean workspace.
• Perform Lock Out Tag Out duties and other duties as required.
