Job summary

Southwest Florida Water Management District seeks a Field Technician to collect groundwater and surface water samples across the district. You will install, calibrate, and maintain data collection equipment, and support project management while working with multiple teams to protect Florida's water resources.

The role requires a high school diploma with varying field experience, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required for Technician levels.
• Experience with collecting groundwater and surface water samples preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required; willingness to travel across the district.

Responsibilities

• Apply district and state protocols for data and sample collection.
• Install, calibrate and maintain data collection equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic data collection devices.
• Participate in emergency management activities as needed.
