Job summary

Nidec Energy is seeking a Customer Support Engineer to deliver technical support, service order management, and sales support across North America. The role includes remote and on-site assistance for power conversion products, motors, drives, and automation systems.

Ideal candidates bring at least five years in industrial automation or renewable energy, strong troubleshooting skills, and experience with PLCs, HMIs, and battery energy storage. On-site visits and travel are required as needed.

Qualifications

Two-year associate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum five years in industrial automation or renewable energy environment.
Experience with Motors, drives, PLCs, and control systems.
Experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems, EV charging, or related fields.
Proficient with Salesforce and SAP for service and sales processes.

Responsibilities

Provide telephone, email, and other support to customers.
Remotely access control systems to aid troubleshooting when possible.
Manage service orders, parts, and RMA actions.
Coordinate field service activities including start-up, commissioning, and training.
Collaborate with Design, Technical Support, and Field Service Engineers on issues.
