A recruiting firm seeks a Field Service Technician with power transformer experience to support large-scale projects across the United States. This role includes installing, maintaining, and repairing power transformers with an extensive travel requirement (90% travel). The ideal candidate is safety-focused, technically capable, and comfortable with demanding schedules. Qualifications
Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing power transformers is required.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, schematics, and blueprints is required.
Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards is required.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Ability to travel 3-4 weeks at a time and work 7 days per week at project sites is required.
Responsibilities
Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing power transformers at customer and project sites.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on power transformers.
Support troubleshooting and diagnosis of transformers and related electrical system issues.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
Work collaboratively with assigned crew members.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Ensure work quality meets company standards and industry regulations.
Travel extensively and work extended schedules.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
