Job summary

Atlas Copco Group is seeking a Service Technician to service and repair air compressors and related equipment. The role requires independence, customer focus, and the ability to travel within a designated territory.

You will participate in training and on-call rotations while delivering safe, high-quality service. Prospective candidates should have 1–2 years of mechanical/electrical experience, a high school diploma (EPA cert a plus), and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of technical experience in mechanical, maintenance, or electrical field.
• Basic understanding of mechanics and electrical theory.
• Fluent in English and able to read service documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicle.
• Ability to use computers for work orders, parts, and training.
• Must supply basic tools.
• Occasional travel to Rock Hill, SC for paid training.
• Lift up to 50 lbs; work in industrial environments with temperature variations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive service, troubleshoot and repair air compressors, air dryers, drains, controllers, and low-pressure blowers.
• Set, install, and pipe compressor systems at customer sites.
• Learn advanced topics (VSDs, refrigeration, remote monitoring) with Senior Technicians.
• Maintain clean work areas; complete service reports and forms.
• Communicate clearly with customers and Service Manager about repairs and options.
• Attend Air Academy training; adhere to safety procedures and PPE use.
• Provide high level customer service and support during on-site visits.
• Participate in rotating 24/7 on-call and travel within territory as scheduled.
