Job summary

Intermountain Electronics (IE) is looking for a Remote - Field Service Technician for the Central Region, based in Dallas, Texas. You will install, repair, and test field equipment, diagnose issues, and support warranty and QA activities across IE products.

The role requires 3+ years in electrical/mechanical/commissioning or assembly, plus strong customer service and PC skills. Expect travel nationwide and possibly overseas; a valid journeyman license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Electrical/Mechanical/Commissioning or Assembly background with 3+ years' experience and at least three years of field experience.
• 1-2 years of business and contracting experience with subcontractors/customers.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals, purchase orders, and project part specifications.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers, clients, and customers.
• Strong PC skills including MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Installation, repair, and testing of field equipment per customer/manufacturer specs.
• Diagnose and repair electrical/mechanical/controls malfunctions and warranty repairs.
• Perform assembly/modifications and QA for IE products and equipment.
• Travel to support areas nationwide and possibly overseas.
• Complete receiving inspections with regional managers, subcontractors, and customers.
• Assess warranty claims and coordinate with Regional Manager on validity and impact.
• Preserve safety through adherence to IE procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain IE tools, equipment, and vehicles; track inventory and expenses.
