Job summary

Signode is seeking a Field Service Technician to install and service general-purpose equipment for customers. This fully remote position requires candidates to be based in the Chicago, IL area. Responsibilities include diagnostics, troubleshooting, and training on equipment. The role demands up to 6 hours of daily travel, requiring good technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

In addition to an hourly wage of $35.00 – $39.00, Signode provides a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401k.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of transferable experience in related fields.
• Experience working with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install and provide scheduled service for general-purpose equipment.
• Document daily service activities and expenses accurately.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment breakdowns.
