Job summary

Nortek Data Center Cooling seeks a Service Technician to diagnose, commission, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment for our data center cooling systems. You will work with warranty issues, coordinate with customers, and support field projects with a hands-on engineering mindset.

The role requires travel ~85% across job sites, strong blueprint literacy, and a customer-service oriented approach to deliver reliable system performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; HVAC or electromechanical experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel ~85% to job sites for commissioning and warranty work.
• Strong reading of blueprints/plans/manuals; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Commission, repair, and service mechanical and electrical equipment for data center cooling projects.
• Review work orders, blueprints, diagrams to determine tasks, tools, and parts needed.
• Collaborate with owners, contractors, engineers, and service partners to minimize impact and cost.
• Provide superior customer service and professional conduct to internal/external customers.
• Consult with engineering and manufacturing to resolve unusual system operation issues.
