Job summary

Lincoln Electric is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel to customer sites across North America, perform equipment commissioning, training, and troubleshooting, and provide remote support when not in the field.

The role requires an Electronics Technology background or equivalent experience, willingness to travel up to 75%/North America, and strong mechanical, electrical, and software troubleshooting skills. Nevada-based remote work option available.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electronics Technology or 3+ years' relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel 75% across North America; 90% in the US.
• US passport and driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency reading electrical schematics.
• Experience with 3-phase and single-phase equipment.
• Experience with industrial hand tools and power tools.
• Customer support experience.
• Strong computer literacy.
• 3D CAD experience recommended; CNC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite training, commissioning, and repair of CNC equipment and related products with quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Provide technical support onsite or by phone for new and existing customers.
• Troubleshoot and define root cause of failure related to software, mechanical, and electrical components.
• Complete detailed service event logs, including field and quality control reports.
• Create procedures and documentation for internal training and continuous improvement.
• Partner with production personnel to ensure quality and continuous improvement for customer satisfaction.
• Support sales by providing system application and specification information.
• Work collaboratively across multiple business units and products.
• Complete Job Safety Analysis forms for each job site visited.
