Job summary

Copeland, a global climate technologies company, is seeking a Field Service Specialist II to commission, troubleshoot and optimize Copeland control systems and refrigeration equipment. This remote role involves extensive overnight travel and on-site support as needed.

You will work with customers, contractors, and internal teams to verify system performance, develop controller programs, and ensure documentation is accurate.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in refrigeration, controls, or commissioning.
• Deep understanding of refrigeration cycle operation and control logic.
• Experience with building automation systems.
• Experience with CO2 trans‑critical or cascade systems preferred.
• Proficient with Modbus, BACnet, and other protocols.
• Travel up to 85–90%.
• Authorized to work in the United States (no sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Commission and verify control systems for refrigeration and HVAC applications (E2, E3, Site Supervisors, etc.).
• Troubleshoot system issues on-site and remotely.
• Develop and modify controller programs from I/O legends or sequences.
• Execute new store commissioning and remodel commissioning projects, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
• Provide site-level customer support and training for contractors and end users.
• Review and interpret store prints, electrical schematics, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technical Support on project execution.
• Maintain strong working knowledge of third-party control systems and network integrations.
• Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards.
