Job summary

Beckman Coulter Life Sciences is seeking a Field Service Engineer to manage customer satisfaction across the Midwest region, with remote coverage for Chicago and surrounding suburbs. You’ll drive timely service, perform preventive maintenance, and upgrade equipment per Beckman Coulter standards.

The role requires travel up to 50%, the ability to lift 50 pounds, and a valid driver’s license. We value MS Office, PowerBI, Salesforce, and ServiceMax proficiency, plus strong customer communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years Field Service experience, or an Associate’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, biological or life science, or equivalent military experience.
• Experience using standard test equipment to troubleshoot and service instrumentation.
• Excellent customer communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Drive urgency to address customer needs with a first-time-fix focus.
• Manage a customer account end-to-end and identify value-add opportunities (reagents, consumables, equipment, etc.).
• Contribute to district revenue targets and growth via recurring maintenance and Sales collaboration.
