Job summary

BD is a leading global medical technology company seeking a Field Service Engineer for a home-based, part-time role with daily travel to customer sites in the Maine region. You will service Pyxis dispensing systems across hospitals, coordinating with customers and internal teams to ensure reliable operation.

Ideal candidates live within 30 miles of the base, with 3+ years in hardware/software/IT, 24x7 on-call experience, and a valid driver’s license. Overnight travel up to 5% may be required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of related Hardware/Software/IT experience supporting proprietary and standard applications.
• 24x7 on-call experience in a customer-facing/field service environment.
• Computer electronics and Windows OS experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for BD Pyxis systems in hospitals and healthcare facilities within the territory.
• Respond to work orders, diagnose, service, and resolve hardware/software issues, and log activity.
• Implement preventive maintenance and support Sales and Implementation teams as needed.
• Maintain inventory and continue training to advance skillsets.
