Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Field Service Engineer for EP Technologies Affera in the United States. This remote role supports a California territory with up to 75% travel to customer sites and cross-functional collaboration with sales and clinical teams.

Responsibilities include installations, maintenance, and technical training for distributors and customers, with emphasis on regulatory documentation and continuous product improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years of technical, clinical field service, technical internship or clinical customer support experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, inspections, verification, corrective and preventive maintenance to ensure the successful operation of EP Technologies Affera systems.
• Maintain and submit technical records and documentation as per regulatory requirements.
• Provide information from experience in the field to colleagues in the office as well as updates to the database.
• Provide input to service processes to ensure continuous improvement and evolution of the Field Service organization.
• Provide input to Engineering and Manufacturing for upgrades to Affera products.
• Participate in the development and delivery of technical training to our distributors, partners, agents, and technically qualified representatives of customer base.
• Help facilitate the smooth introduction of new products to customers by participating in design improvement discussions.
• Investigate, analyze, and recognize trends in technical data as it relates to Affera products.
• Participate in special projects as requested by the US Field Service Manager or designee.
• Participate in and provide technical training to physicians, EP technicians and department managers at customer sites.
