Job summary

PALFINGER is seeking a field service technician in the Detroit area. You will diagnose hydraulics and electrical faults, weld minor repairs, and complete documentation on site, with remote work in the Detroit market and on‑site visits as needed.

You must have at least 3 years of mechanical experience, a CDL on day one (or within 60 days), and the ability to lift 75+ lbs. Bring your own tools; PALFINGER provides proprietary tooling.

Qualifications

• 3 years of mechanical experience or training with emphasis on articulating cranes and forklifts.
• CDL on day one or within 60 days of employment.
• English fluency (speak, read, write).
• Bring your own tools; PALFINGER provides proprietary tooling.

Responsibilities

• Own field service for articulating cranes, truck‑mounted forklifts, conveyors, trucks, and trailers.
• Deliver quarterly PMs and perform Annual DOT inspections.
• Complete warranty service and emergency/unscheduled troubleshooting.
• Translate technical findings into clear updates for job‑site contacts and fleet managers.
