Job summary

Vermeer seeks a Field Sales Specialist to support dealers and directly engage end users. You will demonstrate Vermeer forage equipment and guide customers through purchasing decisions, while building a direct producer list for future marketing.

The role requires extensive travel and a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or equivalent, with strong interpersonal and sales skills. Remote work with campus time and travel are possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with strong sales abilities.
• Ability to travel extensively and manage an assigned sales territory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sales calls on potential end user customers representing Vermeer equipment.
• Work with designated retail dealers to identify target customers for sales calls.
• Demonstrate Vermeer forage equipment to end users and highlight features/benefits.
• Facilitate retail purchases by communicating equipment advantages to customers.
• Perform equipment demonstrations to drive sales growth.
• Identify and target hay baling businesses to influence purchasing decisions.
