Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle accident and weather-related homeowner and commercial property claims. You will be the first contact for insureds, explain coverages, estimate damages, and guide the policyholder through the claims process with exceptional service.

The role requires on-site inspections, collaboration with agents, and the ability to handle emotional conversations while evaluating coverage, terms, and policy compliance.

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions.
• Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately to real-world situations.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology and apply that knowledge accurately in practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for both residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties to gather information and resolve claims efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Gather necessary evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support the claims handling process.
• Investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
