Job summary

State Farm is seeking a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist to handle accident and weather-related claims for homeowners, commercial properties, and large losses. The role involves on-site inspections, documenting evidence, and negotiating settlements while delivering Remarkable service to policyholders.

You will work from home in a remote-field setup serving Booneville, MS and surrounding ZIPs, with occasional travel to other territories.

Qualifications

• Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions.
• Ability to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately to real-world situations.
• Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology and apply that knowledge accurately in practical situations.
• Ability to effectively interact with policyholders, agents and other stakeholders to move claims forward efficiently.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to handle difficult/emotional conversations with a customer-minded focus.
• Proven ability to assess damages, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for both residential and commercial claims.
• Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other involved parties to gather information and resolve claims efficiently.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Gather necessary evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support the claims handling process.
• Investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
