Job summary

Cope Family Center in Napa, CA is seeking a Family Support Specialist to implement the Parents As Teachers home visiting program with families of children ages 0-5.

This full-time, non-exempt hourly role offers a pay range of $25.55–$27.70 per hour and involves in-office, telecommuting, and community/home visits. You will conduct assessments, plan visits, connect families to services, and collaborate with the Home Visiting Team to support child development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field required.
• Associate degree with 1–2 years of experience may be considered equivalent.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Excellent English literacy and writing skills.
• Willingness to travel throughout Napa County in a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Engage in recruitment and outreach to enroll families in PAT program.
• Conduct initial and annual family-centered assessments.
• Maintain regular contact with clients and schedule home visits.
• Develop and review Goal Plans with families.
• Plan and document visits focused on parent-child interaction and family well-being.
• Utilize PAT curricula to share information with families.
• Plan group family connection events.
• Perform developmental screenings and health reviews for enrolled children 0–5.
• Refer families to Medi-Cal and other services.
• Maintain confidential client information and accurate records.
