Job summary

The State Land Board is seeking a Field Operations Team Leader to oversee and guide a 16‑person field operations team across six offices. The role involves leadership of district managers, strategic planning, and ensuring alignment with the agency’s goals for revenue, resilience, and ecosystem health.

Based in Denver, this position requires frequent statewide travel to meet with staff, lessees, and partners, and to coordinate with the Denver headquarters on program management and policy

Qualifications

• Nine (9) years of relevant experience in natural resource and sustainable rangeland management and supervising field teams.
• Education and Experience: combination of related education and experience equal to nine years, with degrees substituting for experience as described.
• Part-time work prorated; resume reviewed only for work experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement the agency’s strategic business plan to achieve district goals for revenue growth and land resilience.
• Supervise six District Managers and the Regenerative Agriculture Program Manager; oversee staff development and program implementation.
• Coordinate with district offices, lessees, and other agencies; present to the Board and liaise with senior leadership.
