Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking an IT Application Configuration Analyst on the Field Mobility Systems team. The role supports mobile field workers, manages deployment of 2500+ field worker computers, and enhances GPS fleet and telemetry systems.

The position requires a degree in CS/IS or related field and 2–4 years of relevant experience, including Oracle/SQL, API integrations, Windows/Linux environments, and mobile networking. Remote work is possible with occasional on-site needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer/Management Information Systems, a related degree, or commensurate experience
• Minimum 2-4 years related experience, including Oracle and SQL databases, API/REST integration, Windows/Linux/UNIX environments, Active Directory/Power Platform, mobile networking

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand business processes of supported applications
• Develop interfaces, maintain reports and vendor packages
• Design interfaces and data flows for complex inbound/outbound interfaces
• Develop technical designs meeting business needs and strategic direction
• Follow IT Change Management and Incident ticket processes
• Collaborate on IT projects with cross-functional teams
• Support and deploy mobile field worker computers and network solutions
• Administer GPS asset tracking and fleet management systems
• Document processes, procedures and specifications
• Assist with requirements gathering and test scenario identification
• Provide unit/integration/performance testing support
• Respond to 2nd/3rd level support requests for Field Mobility tech
