Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking a Field Consultant to perform on-site High Value Property surveys across multiple New Jersey counties. You will work from a home office, coordinating surveys, taking photos, measurements, and reporting findings for underwriters.

Independent contractor (1099) with own vehicle and equipment is preferred; experience in insurance adjusting or home appraisals is a plus, with proficiency in diagramming tools such as Rapid Sketch, Xactimate or CAD.

Qualifications

• Prior underwriting experience is desirable.
• Prior inspection experience on residential homes is desirable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Professionalism is key.
• BA or BS degree desired, but not required.
• Must have smartphone, tablet and personal computer.
• A late model reliable vehicle and Auto and General Liability Insurance.
• High speed internet, Digital Camera or Smart phone with 16mp camera or greater, measuring devices such as: laser, soft tape measure, or measuring wheel.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-site High Value Property surveys.
• Visit properties, take photos and measurements, and note issues for underwriter attention.
• Coordinate surveys within your schedule and manage assigned work.
• Generate and report results through Signature’s loss control system.
