Job summary

BJC Behavioral Health is seeking a Community Behavioral Health Liaison to coordinate services for individuals with behavioral health needs who come to the attention of law enforcement, courts and hospital emergency departments in the service area. The role emphasizes developing access to services for those with complex mental health needs.

Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in Social Services or related field, with 2–5 years of relevant experience and a valid driver’s license.

• 2–5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate services for individuals with behavioral health needs who interact with law enforcement, courts and hospital emergency departments.
• Collaborate with local partners in specialty or diversion courts addressing behavioral health issues.
• Participate in local law enforcement Crisis Intervention Teams (CIT) and similar initiatives.
• Provide or coordinate training and consultation on behavioral health issues for court personnel as needed.
