Symbotic is seeking an Onsite Commissioning Project Engineer to lead PLC-controlled equipment installation, commissioning, and testing at customer sites. You will partner with software, engineering, and ICSS teams to ensure seamless integration and timely project delivery.

The role is remote/field-based with up to 75% travel to client locations, involving hands-on work with electrical technicians and occasional end-to-end project management.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical/ mechanical engineering or automation-related field.
• 5+ years' PLC/robot integration experience (Allen Bradley, ABB, Fanuc).
• Experience with motion control equipment (VFDs) and debugging via remote tools.
• Ability to manage projects across internal stakeholders and meet timelines.
• Strong collaboration with software, engineering and ICSS teams.

Mansioni

• Act as primary onsite commissioning liaison across departments.
• Update and maintain commissioning progress in Jira for each project.
• Design, benchmark, and standardize commissioning processes from scratch.
• Audit third-party contractor work for compliance with processes.
• Lead discussions with engineers to verify Jira ticket details.
• Ensure timesheets align with commissioning tasks and projects.
• Resolve blocked Jira items by coordinating with engineers.
• Lead weekly training sessions and update documentation.
