Novanta ATI Industrial Automation is seeking a dynamic Field Applications Engineer to support the Tool Changer and Material Removal product lines. This remote field-based role covers the US and Mexico from Texas, requiring strong engineering fundamentals and robotics experience.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in Spanish and English, hold a mechanical/controls engineering degree, and have 3–5 years in automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in mechanical, controls, or related engineering.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• 3–5 years of engineering experience in automation.
• Strong grasp of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.
• Robot programming experience with Fanuc/ABB/Kuka preferred.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and MS Office.
• Proven problem-solving and independent working ability.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical product support to customers in the pre-sale and post-sale process.
• Accompany sales personnel on customer visits to identify new opportunities and assist in closing sales by providing technical expertise and product knowledge.
• Conduct product demonstrations using Robots and presentations to showcase product capabilities at tradeshows, conferences, and customer sites.
• Develop novel applications for ATI products using Robots and publish videos and application notes.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions to customers in a timely fashion.
• Use Salesforce for case management and customer support.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to drive product and process innovation.

Summary

ATI Industrial Automation is seeking a dynamic, proactive and bilingual (Spanish speaking) Field Application Engineer to manage our Tool Changer and Material Removal product lines. This role is a perfect fit for an individual with a strong foundation in engineering principles and a passion for robotics and automation. It is a remote field based role in Texas covering the US and Mexico.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide product technical support to customers in the pre-sale and post-sale process

• Accompany sales personnel on customer visits to identify new opportunities and assist in closing sales by providing technical expertise and product knowledge.

• Conduct product demonstrations using Robots and presentations to showcase product capabilities at tradeshows, conferences, and customer sites.

• Develop novel applications for ATI products using Robots and publish videos and application notes

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Controls, or related Engineering discipline.

• Spanish and English fluency.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in the automation industry.

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes.

• Experience and familiarity with Robot (Fanuc, ABB, Kuka, etc.) programming is desirable.

• Experience with SolidWorks and MS Office Suite.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.

Travel Requirements

• Up to 40% in the United States and Mexico

Compensation

• The salary range for this position is $100,795 to $125,000 annually based on full-time employment. Compensation offers are determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, and education.

• Certain positions may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentive programs. Incentive eligibility and structure may vary depending on the applicable plan and may be discretionary or non-discretionary.
