Job summary

nVent in the Central US seeks a key technical lead to partner with customers, sales, and engineering to translate real-world data center challenges into practical solutions.

You will provide RFQ costing, technical assistance, and support for non-standard products, with a focus on power and cooling architectures. This role is remote in the Central US with travel ~30%.

Requirements include a engineering degree and 5+ years in similar roles, plus fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or applications engineering or equivalent work experience in Data Center infrastructure, design, and construction.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• 5+ years in a technical applications role supporting Data Center product solutions.
• Strong background in Power and Air and Liquid Cooling in the Data Center space.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a domain authority for nVent Data Center Solutions products across Sales, Product Management and Operations in the Central US and Latin America.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues using nVent Data Solutions and Electrical Connections.
• Evaluate RFQs and build costing/quotes with technical and commercial content.
• Provide technical application assistance to identify modified engineered products.
• Prepare quotations & proposals of non-standard products using internal CPQ/ERP systems.
• Lead product training for customers and distributors on quoting tools.
• Prepare compliance documents against customer specifications.
• Lead strategic projects for product improvements, cost reductions, and new product development.
• Review training literature for technical accuracy; represent nVent in industry codes committees.
