Job summary

nVent is seeking a key technical lead to partner with customers, sales and engineering to turn real-world challenges into practical data center solutions. This role is remote with about 30% travel across the US and Canada, requiring a mechanical/thermal background and a customer‑first mindset.

You will serve as the domain authority for nVent Data Solutions products, provide first-line support, evaluate RFQs and build costing/quotes with technical content, and lead strategic product improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in technical applications supporting Data Center solutions.
• Willing to travel ~30% across US/Canada; remote work eligible.

Responsibilities

• Serve as domain authority for nVent Data Solutions products.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues.
• Evaluate RFQs and build costing/quotes with technical content.
• Lead strategic projects for product improvements and new development.
• Train customers and distributors on quoting tools.
