Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in fiber optics or telecommunications.
• Experience with ISP and OSP fiber networks.
• Proficient in OTDR testing and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of fusion splicing, remediation, and fiber repairs.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel for field work.

Responsibilities

• Perform OTDR testing to validate fiber paths and identify faults.
• Conduct fiber characterization and bidirectional testing.
• Troubleshoot fiber network issues and recommend remediation.
• Perform fusion splicing and fiber repairs as needed.
• Prepare test reports, redlined documentation, and maps.
• Coordinate with vendors, project managers, and internal teams.
• Travel to customer sites for testing and remediation.
