Job summary

SOLV Energy is hiring a Fiber Optic Splicer 2 for nationwide, fully remote work. You will splice/test fiber optics in both indoor and outdoor settings, maintaining schematics and field notes, and supporting project timelines.

Required are 2+ years of fusion splicing experience, ability to splice direct buried fiber, and use of OTDR tools. Training and PPE compliance are emphasized, with full-time travel expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fiber optic fusion splicing experience.
• Ability to splice outside plant direct buried fiber.
• Experience splicing armored and loose tube fiber.

Responsibilities

• Perform splicing and testing of fiber optic cables in indoor/outdoor settings.
• Diagnose and resolve fiber optics issues while maintaining network integrity.
• Maintain records of splicing operations and test results.
• Train and support entry-level technicians to meet quality standards.
• Maintain splicing tools, inventory, and equipment in good condition.
