Nextlink Internet in Cedar Falls, IA seeks a Fiber Construction Manager to lead FTTH fiber projects across a regional area. You will manage budgets, schedules, and field teams, coordinating with engineering and subcontractors to meet timelines and quality goals.

The role involves extensive site work, cost estimation, and cross‑functional collaboration. Requires 5+ years of FTTH project leadership, strong Excel and planning skills, and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years managing OSP construction projects.
• FTTH construction leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of FTTH PON design and engineering practices.
• Project management experience on FTTH projects preferred.
• Experience with site walks, cost estimating, and site layout planning.
• Proficiency with Excel, Google Earth, and project management databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead underground and aerial construction personnel.
• Coordinate with planning to prepare preliminary cost estimates and routes.
• Plan, schedule, and manage project timelines and budgets.
• Ensure resources are assigned and workloads balanced.
• Read construction documents and splicing diagrams for fiber optics.
• Attend meetings and communicate progress and obstacles.
