Job summary

GCS Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Fiber Analyst for a 100% remote role. The candidate will remotely assist technicians with fiber testing, OTDR validation, and diagnostics across ISP/OSP environments.

The role requires extensive experience in fiber characterization, fusion splicing, and supplier coordination. You will prepare test packages, manage timelines, and deliver comprehensive reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in telecom/fiber with field testing and maintenance.
• Experience with ISP/OSP fiber networks remotely.
• Proficient OTDR use for path validation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of fiber characterization techniques (CD/PMD, power meter/laser).
• Basic to moderate fusion splicing remotely.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians and engineers remotely for fiber testing and troubleshooting.
• Read OTDR, map fiber routes, identify splices and faults.
• Perform CD/PMD and power/laser tests to assess fiber integrity.
• Conduct fusion splicing on problematic segments with minimal loss.
• Prepare remote test packages and comprehensive reports.
• Interface with vendors, project managers, and internal teams on SOWs and timelines.
